It is important that you read and understand the following conditions before making your booking. By making a full payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.


1. Reservations and Payment

All prices are in Australian dollars and are quoted on a per person basis. A deposit or full payment of tour can be made at time of booking. 

Please note the deposit is strictly non-refundable.

Final payment for multi-day walks is due 60 days before departure date.

Every effort has been made to produce pricing information accurately.

We reserve the right to correct errors.

 

2. Fees & Charges

All fully inclusive prices indicated in the Walking Tour are based on group travel and any deviation from the set itinerary may incur additional costs. Arrangements such as transfers, accommodation, flights etc. outside the set Tour arrangements/dates are at an additional cost.

 

3. Cancellation Policy

If you withdraw from a tour within 60 days prior to departure date Walk the Limestone Coast is not obliged to refund that payment and is entitled to such payment as a cancellation fee. This applies where you withdraw from the tour before it commences, where you fail to join the tour or you withdraw from the tour after joining it. It also applies where you withdraw because you are not permitted to travel or it is undesirable for you to join the tour, for example, if you are unwell.  It is recommended you obtain travel insurance including to insure you against non-refundable or cancellation costs including for existing medical conditions.

 

Cancellation by You

Cancellations must be received in writing or by email to Walk the Limestone Coast. Cancellations take effect subject to the following:

Cancellations received on or before 60 days prior to your departure date: 30% loss of trip price, or transferrable to another tour within 12 months of cancellation.

Cancellation takes place less than 60 days before your departure date: no refund, your payment will be transferrable to another tour within 12 months.

 

Cancellation by Us

Walk the Limestone Coast reserves the right to cancel, postpone, re-route or amend a tour due to circumstances outside its reasonable control such as war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, natural or human caused disasters, adverse weather conditions, epidemics or pandemics and any other external events which make it unviable or unsafe for Walk the Limestone Coast to operate our planned schedule.

 

Walk the Limestone Coast is entitled to cancel a tour at any time where the number of participants which have fully paid for their reservation is less than the minimum required within 30 days of departure, customers will be contacted by the Sole trader and receive a full refund.

 

If Walk the Limestone Coast cancels a scheduled trip which is guaranteed you will receive a full refund. 

If cancellation of tour takes place due to COVID lockdown or restrictions within the vicinity of the tour, then we will hold your booking as a full credit for future use for 12 months.

 

4. Refusal of Carriage

Walk the Limestone Coast reserves the right to remove customers from our group for reasons that impact on the enjoyment or safety of other tour members, but not limited to, the physical, medical or mental inability of customers to undertake the arrangements of the walk, unsocial or unruly behaviour, or the carriage of prohibited substances and materials. Removal as a result of your conduct will not entitle you to any refund or payment.

 

5. Travel Insurance

We recommend that walkers obtain Travel Insurance that includes cover against cancellation for any reason, medical expenses or emergency repatriation, and personal liability, delayed flights, lost luggage and personal effects.

 

6. Force majeure 

‘Force Majeure’ means (without restriction) any event, which Walk the Limestone Coast could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid.  Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control.  In the case of Force Majeure Walk the Limestone Coast will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel walks.

 

7. Medical Information and fitness clearance

It is a condition of booking with Walk the Limestone Coast that you complete a Medical Information and Acknowledgement of Risk form.

All customers must possess physical and mental fitness well enough to travel on the Tour. Customers with a pre-existing medical condition that affects their fitness to travel, or any medical/dietary requirements must disclose such conditions or requirements to Walk the Limestone Coast when booking their Tour and may be required to provide written confirmation from their doctor that they are fit to travel when requested.

 

Should any ailments either exist at the time of booking, or arise before tour departure, the customer must inform Walk the Limestone Coast of these in writing. No liability shall attach to Walk the Limestone Coast for the provision of an unsuitable holiday for persons unfit for travel where disclosure of related physical or medical conditions have not been made directly with Walk the Limestone Coast.

 

If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 virus, you cannot participate in a Tour without a current medical certificate that you no longer carry the COVID-19 virus, the common flu or other virus and you must not be experiencing symptoms while travelling or participating in an event.

 

8. Training Activities for Multi-day Walks

Any training activities which you participate in, as organised by Walk the Limestone Coast is at your own risk. These are recommended as part of certain Walking Tours, in order to assist participants in preparing for such Walking Tours and getting to know other members of the group.

 

We recommend you do as much training as you can in the lead up to the walk to assist you focus on enjoying this walking experience to the full.  A mixture of walking, swimming, cycling, yoga or pilates several times each week in the months prior to you walk will help you to be well placed to handle the terrain. It is very important that you bring the right equipment for the walk. A comprehensive packing list will be forwarded to you.

 

9. Personal Images

You, and any travelling companions you are booking on behalf of:
(a) consent to the collection, disclosure and use of personal images by Walk the Limestone Coast and acknowledge that these may be used for marketing purposes by Walk the Limestone Coast for distribution via print, online (including but not limited to any social media) and video-based marketing materials, as well as other publications (from time to time);
(b) release and hold harmless Walk the Limestone Coast from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality associated with the Images specified above;
(c) acknowledge that your participation is voluntary and that you (nor any of your passengers) will not receive any financial compensation of any type associated with the taking or publication of these Images or participation in any marketing materials by Walk the Limestone Coast; and
(d) acknowledge and agree that publication of any Images confers no rights of ownership or royalties whatsoever.

(e) will not release public images of children aged under 18 attending our events without express parental consent.

 

10. Collection of information and privacy

Unless otherwise prevented by law, you consent to the collection, use, storage and disclosure of any personal information provided for the following purposes and any other related purposes or as agreed between Walk the Limestone Coast and you from time to time:

-        to manage our business relationship with you;

-        to administer and manage our services and systems;

-        to enter into any other associated contracts with you and/or third parties, as required; and

-        to market to and maintain a client relationship with you.

 

11. Responsibility
The responsibility of Walk the Limestone Coast and its affiliated companies is strictly limited. As a tour operator, Walk the Limestone Coast organises, promotes, and sells tour programs consisting of certain travel services, including, transportation, sightseeing excursions, and hotel accommodations that Walk the Limestone Coast purchases or reserves from various suppliers (collectively, “Suppliers”). Walk the Limestone Coast does not own or operate any of these Suppliers. The Suppliers providing travel services for Walk the Limestone Coast Tour programs are independent contractors and are not employees of Walk the Limestone Coast.As such, Walk the Limestone Coast is not responsible for any negligent or wilful act or failure to act of any Supplier or of any third party.
